Teacher/ Design curricula

• Lessons Painting and Colour Theory at the Academie voor Beeldende Kunst Wackersacademie, 1986, Amsterdam.
• Design of the curriculum of a two-year course De Vrij Kunstzinnige Jaren, 1989; Centre for Art and Culture De Zonneboom, Leiden. From 1990 to 2000 I was associated to this centre as a teacher.
• Design of a two year's curriculum in 6 modules painting/ colour theory and drawing (1992), design of the module expressive techniques (2001), and Goethean science (1996) at the education for art therapy, Hogeschool Leiden. Co-designer of the Art Therapy Principles module (2002). I also (did) teach these modules.
• Design of the curriculum in two main streams of the said education (2003 to present): the arts (drawing, painting and moulding, with integrated tests) and the therapeutic methodology.
• For some years I was a graduation projects coordinator and a member of the educational and examinations committee (OEC) of the above education. Today, I still coach graduation projects; presently in cooperation with the "Bolk-instituut" research centre.
• Part of the knowledge circle around the anthroposophical health care lectureship in Leiden (2006).
• Member of the Zone8 initiative group; an initiative that explores the possibility of a synergy between art and science (since 2005).

• Co-organization and realisation of the Art, science and inner freedom symposium (16 April 2005) in museum Naturalis in Leiden. Starting shot for Zone8, including the cooperation of, inter alia, the following speakers/performers:

Author

• Member of the editorial staff of the Inter-Esse magazine (1994 to 2003); since 1998 it has been included in the monthly Motief. We have published articles relating to Goethean science.
• Author of articles on art/ contemplation on art in the magazines Vruchtbare Aarde and Motief. Since 1999.
• Author of the book: Aardschok / Bliksemflits (Earthquake / Flash of Lightning). Twentieth century painting - exploring border areas. Publisher: Indigo, 1999, Zeist.
• Author of the book: Tussen verwondering en verbijstering (Between wonder and bewilderment). Art, science and inner freedom. Publisher: Indigo, 2005, Zeist.

Courses

All courses comprise a theoretical part and practical work in different fields of art: painting, drawing and moulding, theatre improvisations and sometimes song/music. Courses were/ are held at various locations.

• Uncompleted creation. History of art and change of awareness. One-year course Together with sculptor Paul van Dijk, who is also working with song/ music.
• Colour is working. One-year course colour theory.
• Development processes- a matter of life. The annual cycle in flora as an image for development processes.
• The four elements in nature and man. Together with Paul van Dijk.
• Naked ape/ dressed angel. Working with visions on evolution.
• Embryology in the picture.
• Measure, rhythm and number. Order in nature, music, plastic art and architecture. Part of the course is to let course members grow their own crystals.
• Transformation and metamorphosis in stones, plants, animals and humans.
• Departure - Coming Home At Work with visions on death.
• Colour and sound. Together with the musician Jan van Dijk (also courses in France, Domaine de Bourdière, Aurty Issards.)
• Open studio. Working on own themes under supervision.
